What companies has Brian Suthoff founded?
Brian Suthoff co-founded Localytics in 2009, founded Hub Beverage in 2016 and Tally Street in 2019, and now runs Truverto as a smaller project. Most of that work is in analytics and data, with one deliberate detour into craft spirits.
Localytics (2009–2016)
Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer. Acquired by Upland Software in 2020.
Localytics was the leading mobile analytics and messaging platform, used by 25,000+ apps across 2 billion+ devices. Localytics pioneered real-time analytics and invented mobile in-app messaging. It powered the mobile growth of many of the world's biggest apps and companies, such as eBay, Microsoft, Salesforce, Verizon, Comcast, Disney, Fox, NY Times, WSJ and Weather Channel. As co-founder, Brian built and owned the relationships with the biggest app companies, built the foundation for functions including business development and product management, and later led strategic partnerships and alliances.
Hub Beverage (2016–2019)
Founder. Distribution business sold in 2019.
Hub Beverage was the first liquor distribution company in Massachusetts to focus exclusively on craft spirits, and the only one pairing traditional distribution with modern marketing technology and business development. In three years it brought more than 40 products from 14 distilleries to over 200 customers in Massachusetts. After the distribution business was sold in 2019, Hub Beverage continued as a project promoting classic cocktails and craft distillers.
Tally Street (2019–2023)
Founder. Acquired by Rightworks in 2021.
Small and mid-size businesses had never had access to the customer analytics large enterprises used to hold on to customers, find sales opportunities and manage risk. Tally Street connected directly to accounting systems and generated those insights from sales and payment transactions. Accounting firms used Tally Street to better manage their firms and provide additional value to thousands of clients. Rightworks (then Right Networks) acquired it in 2021, and Brian stayed on as VP and General Manager of Software Products until 2023.
Truverto (2025– )
Founder. A smaller, ongoing project.
Truverto helps small and mid-size businesses make smarter credit decisions by turning accounts receivable and ERP data into real-time credit intelligence, so teams can sell faster with less business credit risk.
Investing and mentoring
Brian invests as an angel and mentors founders through Venture Lane Studio and Northeastern University's McCarthy(s) Venture Mentoring Network. He is also a member of Post-Exit Founders and works with Techstars.
