The short version
suthoff.com is a personal website. It doesn't sell anything, show ads, ask you to sign in, or collect your name or email address. The only data it gathers are anonymous statistics about visits, so Brian can see which pages people read.
What is collected, and by whom?
Google Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits. It records things like which pages were viewed, how a visitor arrived (for example, from a search), the type of device and browser, and an approximate location at the city or country level. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones. It doesn't store IP addresses, and the site has Google's advertising features switched off.
Visitors in the European Union, the UK and Switzerland don't get analytics cookies. For those visitors the site sends Google only anonymous, cookieless signals.
Cloudflare. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles every request to deliver pages quickly and protect the site from attacks. Like any web host, it briefly processes technical details such as IP addresses for that purpose.
What isn't collected?
No names, email addresses, accounts, payment details, or anything you type. The site has no forms. To get in touch, visitors use LinkedIn, which has its own privacy policy.
How to opt out
- Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a privacy-focused browser or content blocker. The site works the same either way.
